Youth Music Workshops in Pond Inlet

Qaggiavuut hosted a three-day youth music production workshop in Pond Inlet from March 2–4, 2026, led by Ottawa-based producer and Algonquin College music professor Tev Bourque of Tev Sound.

The workshops took place at Nasivvik High School and introduced youth and emerging artists to music production, recording, and beat-making using accessible tools such as laptops and phones.

The program was designed to build practical skills, creative confidence, and interest in music-making among young Inuit artists.

Tev brought years of experience as a producer, sound engineer, and educator, with a strong focus on mentorship and hands-on learning.

The Pond Inlet workshops are part of Qaggiavuut’s ongoing work to support Inuit youth through accessible, community-based arts training.
